September

September in Copenhagen is the first month of autumn, and autumn in the capital of Denmark is splendidly mild. Cool days and cool nights make for a lovely time to travel here and see what this old Scandinavian capital and cultural Mecca has to offer.

 Autumn weather in Copenhagen

Copenhagen is particularly beautiful in this change of season. You’ll want to be able to take as many long walks as you possibly can to see the trees changing color. With pleasantly cool temperatures 24 hours a day, be sure to pack a jacket, plenty of sweaters, pants and good shoes. Copenhagen’s rainy season is coming to an end in September, but what are usually light drizzles are more likely to be brief, harder downpours, so have your umbrella handy.

The average high temperature in a Copenhagen September is º61 (F)/º16 (C). The average lows are º50/º10, with an overall average temperature of º56/º13. Every September there are on average 19 days above º60 (F), two inches of rain and 16 days with fog.
