October
October in Copenhagen is the beginning of winter. Temperatures are dipping, days are getting shorter, and the city is relaxing into its annual attitude of hygge, which is roughly translated as coziness. This is a fine time to visit Copenhagen.

Temperatures are cool and mild in Copenhagen at the onset of winter. But if you’re planning a visit it’s a good idea to bring some colder-weather gear as well as your fleece jackets, long-sleeved shirts, light sweaters and a good coat. Temperatures can flirt with freezing at nights, and occasionally get even colder. This is fairly rare, though, with Octobers in Copenhagen being on the whole quite mild. The rain in October is less frequent than in the summer, but heavier. There’s very little chance of snow.
The average high temperature in a Copenhagen October is º53 (F)/º11 (C). The average lows are º44/º6, with an overall average temperature of º49/º9. Every October there are on average 19 foggy days and only two days apiece above º60 or below freezing.
