June

June in Copenhagen is the official start of Summer. This is perhaps the best time to plan your visit to Copenhagen. The natives swarm to Copenhagen’s beaches in June. Keep in mind, though, that the water temperatures hover around º16 (C). If it’s a beach-holiday you’re looking for, prepare for some bracing swims.

 Sunny in Copenhagen

The sun doesn’t set until around 10 PM in June, but the sky is still overcast and gray, moderating the warmth of this first month of Summer. This is a great time to come see all that Copenhagen has to offer. Cool mornings blend into warm afternoons and pleasant evenings. Shorts and t-shirts should definitely be included in your bags. But remember that the nights get cool and pack accordingly. It would be a great idea to have an easily transportable light jacket and a few pairs of pants on hand. Get that umbrella, too. It doesn’t rain much more often in a Copenhagen June than it does over the Winter, but it rains harder.

The average high temperature in a Copenhagen June is º66 (F)/º18 (C). The average lows are º52/º11, with the overall average temperature at º59/º15. Every June in Copenhagen there are an average of 9 days above º77 (F), 25 days above º60 (F), and three days with thunderstorms.
