August is one of the best times to visit Copenhagen. This is the last month of Summer—the last month to walk and cycle the capital of Denmark, visit its beaches and experience its ancient culture in a warm atmosphere.
You’ll want to be sure and pack your swimming suits and cycling gear and some cool weather clothes for outdoor dining. There isn’t that great a spread between daytime and nighttime temperatures in a Copenhagen August, but it’s wise to come prepared for cooler nights than days. A fleece jacket and pants should serve nicely for most eventualities. You should also have an umbrella at hand, as August is the rainiest month of the season.
