Dirt Cheap Copenhagen

Copenhagen is not a bargain destination for great restaurant meals. If you eat your dinner at a Danish restaurant you must expect to pay 150-200 DKK for a beef meal (appx. €20). A bottle of wine at the same restaurant will set you back at least 150 DKK.

If you eat your meals at cafés and bodegas you will not need as much money. A sandwich and a beer should cost you about 50 DKK & 40 DKK, less than 100 DKK (appx €10-12).

Kebabs at kebab-joints and Big Macs at McDonald’s are approximately 30-40 DKK.

The cheapest option is to head to the nearest supermarket. Buy a few beers and something to eat. Head for a park and enjoy a cheap and filling lunch. You should be able to enjoy a great meal this way for less than 50 DKK (€8).
