Halifax
The Halifax does excellent burgers both to eat in the bar and to takeaway. There are three branches in Copenhagen and the restaurant is extremely popular with families and students. The menu is fairly simple, but you can build your own burger choosing the ingredients that you want including bacon, salad, chilli-roasted mushrooms and pickled cucumbers. Everything is made from scratch and the restaurant has fresh deliveries of bread twice a day meaning that the buns are always soft. Classic burgers start at €11.

Hache Gourmet Burgers
Hache has a good menu with alternatives including a low carb burger, zucchini burgers and even a pizza burger. Most burgers cost 95KR – around €10. They use organic beef from Austria and all the dressings are made fresh. The classic hamburgers on the menu include the Mexican burger with chilli beans, sour cream and guacamole and the Iberico Burger served with delicious Manchego cheese.

Cocks & Cows
Cocks & Cows is a gourmet burger restaurant and cocktail bar, open til midnight during the week and 02:00 at weekends. It has a vibrant and colourful atmosphere with some great music to accompany the hamburgers. As well as the regular menu they also offer seasonal specials and tasty side orders such as onion rings, fries with vinegar powder, chicken wings and 8 different sauces and salsas. There is an extensive cocktail menu and takeaways are available. The burgers start at around €10.
