Airport

Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup has been voted the best airport in the world. The service is smooth, the environment is calm and cool and the food is actually not that bad. But of course, it is an airport so meals and drinks are high-priced. However, you can save 20% on all other goods, no matter where you’re traveling. With three terminals, one of them domestic, Copenhagen Airport has a good size and getting anywhere takes maximum 30 minutes. The crew usually has the luggage out of the plane in five or ten minutes, so you wont loose much time by checking in luggage.
Getting into the city centre
The easiest way to get to and from the airport is fortunately also the fastest and the cheapest: the metro. The metro will take you to the city centre in approx. 20 minutes for €3-5. In comparison a taxi will take around an hour, longer in heavy traffic, and will cost around €20.
Do not exchange cash
Note that Denmark does not have euro but Kroner – €1 equals to DKR 7.5. Do not exchange your cash at the airport, as the company located here has been known to scam. Rather exchange at the Central Station where Forex is a good option or get them at one of the many cash machines where rates are fair.
